Sauseriai. Inspired by Nature – this is a recreational space established in the embrace of meadows and forests. Located in the picturesque Salantai Regional Park, near the Minija cliffs, surrounded by Natura 2000 protected forests and well-tended flowering meadows, two small cottages, or, more accurately in Samogitian – numãliai, stand here. Adorned with thatched roofs and natural wood but with concrete walls and large windows, they act as a bridge connecting traditional Lithuanian homestead architecture with modernity.

Having been refined over several years, these cottages allow you to feel a unique atmosphere, where frameless windows let you admire the beautiful natural landscapes, and the meticulously thought-out interior quickly shifts you into relaxation mode. On a 13-hectare private territory, you will have plenty of space for thoughts and walks; here, you will discover paths with rest areas, a stream with stunning ravines, the Minija River, the Sauseriai mound.

In the picturesque Minija Valley, between meadows and forests, two cottages with thatched roofs stand. Here, you can calm down, observe the wonderful beauty of nature, and feel how Lithuanian traditions intertwine with modernity. While resting here, you can walk through forests, meadows, wade in the sandy Minija River, relax in the sauna, or enjoy the pleasures of a massage bath. Stop and breathe in nature.

Cottage

In the numãlis, you will find everything needed for quality relaxation. Upon entering the cottage, you enter the common space, characterized by modern minimalist interior, large windows that fill the space with the landscapes of nature like paintings, the interesting atmosphere is created by the high four-pitched ceilings. The common area features a comfortable sofa from which you can enjoy the nature views through the window or watch the fire crackling in the wood-burning stove. There’s also a round dining table and a fully functional kitchen unit. In the cozily and intelligently planned common space, one area is dedicated to a comfortable workspace; this cottage is a great choice not only for relaxation but also for seeking a calm and inspiring work environment. The sleeping area is set above – in the loft, from here you can enjoy the night sky even more through the skylight. A special feature of the bathroom is the main accent – a bathtub next to a huge window. For outdoor sitting, a terrace with wooden outdoor furniture is set up next to the cottage.

Both numãliai are quite similar. Numãlis S2 is closer to the forest, surrounded by oaks, while numãlis S3 is closer to a blooming meadow, surrounded by wider spaces.

Amenities

In the cottage, you will find all the amenities – a bathtub, towels, soft bedding.

Cooking

Inside, there is an electric stove, kettle, pots, pans, and a refrigerator. All necessary dishes and utensils for cooking are provided.

There is a gas grill available for outdoor cooking.

There are even three café options that can deliver food right to the cottage.

The nearest café is: 15 km Café Pakalnutė (Salantai), 26 km Café Kryžkelė (Kretinga), 32 km HBH Palanga (Žibininkai), 40 km Restaurant Monist (Palanga).

The nearest grocery store is 5 km away, Aibė (Kūlupėnai).

If you are arriving with a baby, a crib/playpen is available; for children, there is a foldable mattress (an additional fee applies only for ordering additional bedding – the option is available in the next step).

Nearby Attractions

The cottages are located in the Salantai Regional Park, near the Minija River, in a Natura 2000 protected forest area. The surroundings are filled with meadows, streams, cliffs, and natural forest paths accessible all year round. By crossing the Minija ford, you will reach the impressive cliff called Dauginčių atodanga, known as the Switzerland of Lithuania. The most scenic spots on the routes have paths-bridges, rest areas with benches and tables.
